Adam Keating represents employers in all aspects of traditional labor and employment law, with a particular focus on management labor relations and complex workforce matters.
Mr. Keating advises employers on the full range of traditional labor issues, including union organizing campaigns, representation elections, collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, grievance handling, and labor arbitrations. He regularly represents management in unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and counsels employers on strike preparedness, picketing activity, successorship issues, and labor-management strategy. Clients rely on Mr. Keating for practical, business-oriented guidance at the bargaining table and in high-stakes labor disputes that directly affect operations.
In addition to his traditional labor practice, Mr. Keating represents employers in employment litigation and administrative matters, including the defense of employment discrimination and retaliation claims, wrongful discharge cases, wage and hour litigation, employment contract disputes, and restrictive covenant matters. He also counsels employers on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring and onboarding, employee discipline and terminations, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, reductions in force, and OSHA citations.
Mr. Keating further assists employers with the preparation of employee handbooks and workplace policies tailored to their industry, geographic footprint, and workforce, and regularly negotiates and drafts executive employment agreements for both employers and senior executives. He works closely with in-house counsel, human resources professionals, and senior leadership to align legal compliance with operational and business objectives.
