Ryan W. Brown is a Senior Associate in the Health Law Practice Group. He advises hospitals, health systems, pharmacies, physician groups, and other health care entities on complex regulatory, reimbursement, and compliance matters across the health care continuum. His practice focuses on reimbursement, provider enrollment and licensure, privacy and data governance, fraud and abuse, and administrative appeals.
Mr. Brown also counsels clients on emerging issues at the intersection of health care regulation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven technologies. He advises health care and life sciences companies on regulatory and compliance implications of AI-enabled clinical, operations, and revenue-cycle tools, including risk governance, bias mitigation, privacy and security considerations, and alignment with evolving federal and state oversight frameworks. In addition, he regularly advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on regulatory compliance, pricing and reimbursement issues, and operational risk, including matters implicating federal and state enforcement authorities.
Mr. Brown has significant experience advising clients on health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, changes of ownership, and complex operational restructurings. He represents clients before federal and state agencies in audits, investigations, and administrative proceedings. He is a member of the Firm’s Hiring Committee, Chair of the Philadelphia Inclusion Committee, and a member of DM Pride, the Firm’s LGBTQ group.
Mr. Brown received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as conventions editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Muhlenberg College.
