Recently, Roberts successfully represented the employer in Nunez v. Syncsort Incorporated, et al., in which a panel of the District Court’s Appellate Division ruled that retention bonuses do not constitute a wage under the Massachusetts Wage Act. Roberts commented, “The decision was a victory for employers, who face harsh penalties under the Wage Act.”
